The Job
As the Accounts Payable Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and service excellence across a high-volume, global environment. You’ll manage 250+ invoices each week, while also handling expenses, payments, and process improvements that keep our finance operations running smoothly. You will also be responsible for:
- Ensuring timely, accurate processing of invoices, credit card charges, and out-of-pocket expenses in line with established policies
- Preparing weekly payment batches, perform daily bank checks, and reconciling balances to ensure funds and flag unusual activity
- Resolving transactional issues—whether it’s coding, purchase orders, or vendor setup—by collaborating with colleagues and approvers across regions
- Supporting the AP subledger, month-end close, and audits with a focus on clean, reliable records
- Assisting with the cutover from legacy systems to our new Workday ERP and enhanced ServiceNow tools, contributing to smooth transitions
- Contributing to streamlined reporting processes, driving greater efficiency and accuracy
- Onboarding and training new team members, sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration
- Providing excellent service to vendors and internal stakeholders, with weekly reviews of KPIs and SLAs to ensure delivery standards are met
What you bring to the job
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, service-driven environment—someone who’s proactive, helpful, and team-focused in their approach to work. You also come with:
- 3–5 years of hands-on accounts payable experience, with confidence handling the full cycle in a high-volume setting
- Strong understanding of AP principles, internal controls, and tax compliance
- Advanced Excel skills and exposure to Workday ERP (an asset)
- Experience with banking platforms and different payment methods (preferred)
- Analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and return to priorities
- Superior communication skills, with the confidence to clarify expectations and raise issues promptly
- Flexibility to work across time zones with colleagues in Canada, Africa, and beyond
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field—or equivalent experience; CPA / CA / ACCA qualifications are an advantage
- A can-do, collaborative attitude with a track record of reliability, professionalism, and service delivery
