THE ROLE:

As Accounts Payable Administrator, you will report to and support the Accounts Payable Supervisor. You will be responsible for efficiently and accurately processing a high volume of invoices in a timely manner. The Accounts Payable Administrator will be coordinating with our teams and business units nationally and support department functions and improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  1. Accurately process a high volume of invoices for payment in an automated processing environment, consistently adhering to designated timelines.
  2. Process invoices including Purchase Order (PO) line-item match and holdbacks.
  3. Complete upload payment processing including utilities and internal fee payments.
  4. Complete manual invoice processes and shared duties.
  5. Respond to queries and ad hoc requests.
  6. Participate in special projects and take on other duties, as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  1. Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Studies.
  2. Ideally 2 years of clerical experience in accounts payable. Experience with processing invoices using OCR technology and AP Automation.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of GST, HST, QST.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  1. Proficient with Microsoft Office and JD Edwards payables processing experience as an asset.
  2. Well-developed communication skills to effectively collaborate across all levels within and outside the organization.
  3. A team player: willing to step in and lend a hand as needed and you identify the opportunities to do so.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to coordinate multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
