Make an impact with our Accounting team as an Accounts Payable Administrator. This diverse team of professionals are committed to delivering firm-wide financial solutions with expertise and precision. As a trusted advisor, you’ll compile, analyze, summarize and monitor financial data and reports that are integral to understanding the financial position of our firm.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to efficiently code and process a high volume of tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ensures invoices are approved and posted in accordance with internal policies and procedures in a timely manner
  • Prepare and enter journal entries as required
  • Ability to process vendor payments through EFT, A2Pay, ACH, wire and cheques according to tight payment deadlines
  • Create, maintain, and update account reconciliations
  • Respond to internal regional requests through internal ticketing system
  • Review upcoming deadlines and work requirements with the team along with managing the flow of work to specific team members (ex. documents for review/signature)
  • Create, maintain, and update vendor setups in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Prepares periodic ad-hoc requests
  • Participates actively in Finance initiatives, such as process improvements, AP system automation and exploring ways for enhancing operational efficiencies
  • Capability to adapt and respond to changes effectively
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses, and industry
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in French is an asset
  • Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience is an asset
  • Experience with SAP Concur Expense software and an understanding of indirect taxes is an asset
  • Strong computer literacy including an understanding of Microsoft Excel and PDF
  • Strong business writing communication skills along with proven mathematical and analytical skills
  • Experience working in a Professional Services environment, or a Partnership is considered an asset
  • Exceptional client service abilities and comfortable working with both external and internal clients
  • Highly organized, efficient, and able to juggle multiple priorities all while displaying exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrates trustworthy and professionally minded behaviour
