A non-profit organization in the heart of Vancouver is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join their Finance team on a temporary basis, with strong potential for the role to become permanent. What You’ll Do:
Handle full-cycle accounts payable for multiple entities using a robust ERP system
Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and ensure accurate coding
Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and manage payment inquiries
Reconcile credit card purchases and manage month-end A/P procedures
Coordinate petty cash and support procurement and purchase order processes
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
Assist in preparing internal reports and responding to audit and tax requests
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in A/P
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)
Post-secondary education in accounting or finance; CPA designation or pursuit is an asset
Great communication skills and a collaborative, positive attitude
