Overview

LEON'S FURNITURE IS NOW HIRING AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE!

An opportunity is available to join the team in the Accounts Payable department, located at Home Office.

Duties include:

1. Printing, downloading, matching, and approving invoices from the Logistics manager and posting to GL Freight payable invoices.
2. Generating payments to vendors by following established procedures for processing disbursements through cheques or bank wire transfers.
3. Posting, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
4. Maintaining necessary filing and retaining all accounting records.
5. Maintaining vendor account reconciliations to ensure timeliness and accuracy with records.
6. Performing other duties and responsibilities as may be directed by Leon's from time to time.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Ability to use enterprise-level financial record-keeping software systems, spreadsheets, and email applications.
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
3. Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines.
4. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
6. Good problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent knowledge of basic accounting concepts.
8. Strong attention to detail.
