Job Details:
Designation: Accounting Technician & Bookkeeper (TEER 12200)
Hours: 30-35 hours per week
Pay Rate: $35 per hour
Overtime Pay: $52.3 per hour
Location: 20 Wellington St. E, Toronto, ON M5E 1C5
Job Duties:
Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.
Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements.
Post journal entries and adjust general ledgers.
Reconcile bank accounts and correct discrepancies.
Process payroll and calculate wages, deductions, and benefits.
Prepare and submit payroll taxes (e.g., CPP, EI, and income tax deductions).
Complete and file HST/GST returns and other government remittances.
Assist in corporate and personal tax preparation.
Manage accounts payable by verifying, coding, and processing invoices.
Ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
Handle accounts receivable, generate invoices, and follow up on overdue payments.
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing transactions.
Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor expenses and recommend cost-saving strategies.
Analyze financial reports to support business decision-making.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Maintain financial confidentiality and data security.
Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Generate reports and financial data using Microsoft Excel and other tools.
Implement and maintain digital accounting systems for efficiency.
