Job summary

iA Financial Group in Vancouver is seeking an Accounting Technician to support Dealer Services' operational accounting, with a strong focus on banking follow-ups and account reconciliations. You will document analyses and maintain audit trails, and record various transactions in Oracle ERP, including month-end entries and reclassifications.

We look for candidates with 3 years in operational accounting, a college diploma in Accounting or Administration, and a proven attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performing banking and cash management follow-ups, including bank reconciliations, investigation of discrepancies, monitoring outstanding items, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Preparing and owning account reconciliations (bank and other operational accounts), documenting analyses, and maintaining clear audit trails.
• Recording various transactions in Oracle ERP, including journal entries as required for month-end activities, adjustments, and reclassifications.
• Executing established internal controls, identifying anomalies, and promptly escalating situations requiring more in-depth analysis.
• Preparing supporting documentation, responding to inquiries, and producing required reconciliations for external audits, regulatory requests, and internal requests.

The typical hiring range for this position is between CAD 60,700 and CAD 68,000 per year; the offered base salary may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
