A leading hotel in Montreal is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage the complete accounting cycle in a centralized environment. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in French and English, possess basic accounting skills, and have 2-3 years of accounting experience. You will work under tight deadlines and actively participate in internal control processes, contributing to month-end reports. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial operations at the hotel.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience as a hotel day or night auditor is an asset.
• Experience as a clerk or accounting technician is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the complete accounting cycle in a centralized environment.
• Review and correct daily income records.
• Record and reconcile daily deposits, including credit card transactions.
• Manage accounts payable: match, post, and save invoices.
• Follow up on requests from customers, suppliers, and department heads.
• Participate actively in internal control processes.
• Contribute to the preparation of month-end reports.
• Participate in the Manager on Duty (MOD) program.

• Follow up on requests from customers, suppliers, department heads, and regional offices.
• Participate actively in internal control processes, including monthly and annual regulations, procedures, and inventories.
• Contribute to the preparation of month-end reports.
• Participate in the Manager on Duty (MOD) program.

Requirements: Skills and Competencies

• Bilingual: fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in French and English.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during month-end or pay periods.
• Effective communication skills to clearly convey requirements and foster positive working relationships.
• Basic accounting skills and familiarity with hotel computer software.
• Experience as a hotel day or night auditor is an asset.
