Job summary

A leading HR consultancy is seeking an experienced Accountant for a manufacturing client in the defense industry, based in Montreal. The Accountant will handle financial closing processes, account reconciliations, and collaborate with internal teams. A minimum of 4 years of experience and bilingual skills in French and English are required, along with relevant qualifications in Finance or Accounting.

Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

RaisaHR is a boutique HR Consultancy. Our client, a 400-person manufacturing company operating in the defense industry, is looking for an Accountant to join their team.

Salary range: $75,000-$85,000 base

Location: Montreal, hybrid (2-3 days/week in office)

Language requirements: French and English

Travel requirements: travel to the U.S. may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, such as for prepaids and fixed assets.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in account balances and transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with external audit requests by preparing supporting documentation and analysis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to speak English and French
