To support our mandate HBA Chartered Professional Accountants is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our growing practice in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the managers and partners the Accounting Technician will have the opportunity to quickly assume responsibility for a wide variety of engagements, including compilation engagements, tax returns (personal, corporate), HST returns, and bookkeeping training and cleanup.

Qualifications

• Your education background includes a recognized bookkeeping or accounting diploma, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• You are proficient with at least one accounting package (any version of Sage or QuickBoooks).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience with other accounting applications such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Wave, Dext, Caseware, and TaxPrep are considered assets.
