The Opportunity: Accounting Technician
Rapid-Span is seeking a detail-driven, adaptable Accounting Technician to support a range of accounting responsibilities in a collaborative, cross-trained finance team. This role offers the chance to build hands-on expertise in payroll, accounts payable, reporting, and—with time and support—accounts receivable.

Location: Our office in the Spallumcheen, BC Industrial Park.
Key Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly payroll using Clarity
Back up accounts payable: invoice entry, coding, vendor communication, and payment preparation
Prepare internal financial reports and recurring reconciliations
Assist with automation and improvements to time and attendance and AP systems
Learn and support accounts receivable processes over time
Provide general accounting support and collaborate with team members on shared responsibilities
Identify ways to streamline data entry and reporting
Ensure timely remittances, filings, and completion of month-end and year-end tasks
Provide back-up support for other admin and finance team members as needed
Qualifications
2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, including payroll and AP
Experience with Clarity or D365 is an asset, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and eagerness to learn new systems
Comfortable working in a multi-system environment, especially during process transitions
High level of accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail
A self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a drive to make things more efficient
Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute positively to a close-knit team
Comfortable in a fully on-site work setting
