Zusammenfassung

Six Nations Group is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support finance operations, including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. The role reports to the Financial Controller and supports multiple entities and the Economic Development Trust.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of experience, and strong Excel skills, with Sage Intacct experience considered an asset.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• CPA or CFA designation preferred or pursuing designation.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software; Sage Intacct considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, including not-for-profit principles.

Aufgaben

• Perform account and bank reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close; ensure accurate records.
• Assist with preparation and review of financial information and reporting.
• Maintain integrity and accuracy of financial data across entities.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation; ensure audit trails.
