Job summary

Elby Professional Recruitment is assisting a growing professional services organization in seeking a Cloud Accountant on a contract basis (18 months) to support multiple clients with full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting. The role emphasizes implementing cloud accounting solutions, onboarding new clients, and providing excellent client service in a hybrid Guelph, ON environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or related discipline.
• 3+ years bookkeeping and cloud accounting experience.
• Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intacct or similar.
• Strong client-service orientation and ability to manage multiple client priorities.
• Familiarity with accounting tech integrations and digital workflow tools is a plus.
• Progress toward CPA designation is an asset but not required.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication and client relationship management abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused approach.

Our client, a growing professional services organization, is seeking a Cloud Accountant to join their team on a contract basis (18-month contract).

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients, leveraging technology to improve processes, and supporting a variety of businesses with their accounting and bookkeeping needs. The successful candidate will have experience with cloud-based accounting platforms and possess a strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and client service. This individual will play a key role in supporting clients, implementing efficient accounting processes, and helping teams maximize the value of cloud accounting technology. This role offers exposure to a diverse client base, ongoing opportunities to expand technical expertise, and the ability to contribute to process improvement initiatives in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Work Arrangement

• Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intact, or similar solutions.
• Familiarity with accounting technology integrations and digital workflow tools is considered an asset.
• Progress toward a CPA designation is considered an asset but is not required.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
