About the Role
Are you a meticulous and experienced accounting professional seeking a flexible yet impactful position? Livingstone Landscaping Ltd and Livingstone Outdoor are looking for an Accounting Specialist who is passionate about accuracy, technology-driven process improvements, and financial integrity. You’ll be the backbone of our accounting operations, supporting everything from high-volume transactions and vendor relationships to payroll and financial reporting.
What You'll Do
Accounts Payable
  • Manage high-volume AP transactions with speed and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian tax codes (GST/HST, PST)
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements proactively
  • Maintain vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Oversee purchase order workflows and payment runs
Accounts Receivable
  • Issue client invoices and monitor incoming payments
  • Handle overdue accounts and disputes with diplomacy
  • Process credit memos and reconcile customer accounts
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on project billing
Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Assist with financial statements and month/year-end processes
  • Prepare for audits and ensure tax compliance
  • Manage payroll across seasonal staffing needs
What You Bring
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting (or 5+ with CPA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • CPA designation preferred; strong experience required if not certified
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with software integrations (CRM, ERP, project tools)
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Valid Class 5f driver's license for occasional off-site travel
  • Familiarity with landscaping/project-based industries a plus
