Job summary

BGIS is seeking an Accounting/Reporting Manager in a hybrid role, with responsibilities spanning planning, reporting, cost control and client interface. You will ensure data integrity, support audits, and assist with revenue management across portfolios, aligning with FAA and public money regulations. A CPA and 3-5 years in financial accounting are preferred.

Qualifications

University graduation or professional certification in accounting with 3-5 years’ experience in a financial accounting position.
Ability to lead and be a team player.

Responsibilities

Support the preparation and coordination of planning, reporting, cost control and client interface.
Ensure data integrity through data quality reviews and data management processes.
Support internal and external audit requirements.
Support the collection of revenues and maintain records of revenues for portfolios.
Comply with FAA and related regulations for receipt and deposits of public money.
Provide additional support to the Portfolio Financial/Reporting Manager as needed.
Prepare and analyze various financial reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

The Accounting/Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation and coordination of planning, reporting, cost control and client interface. This job provides support to all accounting and reporting functions including the accounting/reporting needs of Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions staff members.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the preparation & coordination of planning, reporting, cost control & client interface
Ensure diligence for work initiation & authorization, work implementation & control, inspection & documentation of completed work, & payment
Ensure data integrity through the management of data quality reviews & the implementation of data management processes
Support internal & external audit requirements
Support the collection revenues, maintain records of revenues for each portfolio & comply with the requirements of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) & associated federal Receipt & Deposit of Public Money Regulations, 1997 (SOR/98-128)
Provide additional support to the Portfolio Financial/Reporting Mgr. as required
Support the preparation & analysis of various financial reports
Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

University graduation or professional certification inaccounting and computer systems with 3-5 years’ experience in a financial accounting position
Ability to lead and be a team player
Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

At least one of CPA (CA, CMA or CGA)

This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $73,600 - $92,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.
