JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Officer is responsible for processing accounts payable by ensuring timely entry and payment of invoices, managing documentation, and addressing any issues or inquiries. The role also includes providing financial and accounting support for various projects, responding to internal and external inquiries, assisting with audits, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining confidentiality. Additionally, the officer contributes to process improvements and supports team initiatives within the Accounting division and the broader Inuvialuit Corporate Group (ICG).

This is a full-time position, and we are currently hiring for two (2) vacancies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be/have:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• One year of related work experience or 2-3 years in a non-accounting financial role.
• Preferred experience is with accounts payable and receivable processes, ideally within a team environment working with a variety of clients or stakeholder groups. Equivalencies would be considered.
