Financial Excellence (Finance) Full Time TORONTO, ON $70,000 - $80,000 CAD per year

We are expanding rapidly and seek an Accounting Manager ready to grow, thrive, and lead financial operations in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment. This role involves hands-on accounting work and leadership responsibilities, including managing staff, overseeing financial reporting, and supporting internal audits.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare monthly financial statements and journal entries
  2. Review bi-weekly payroll and commission calculations
  3. Oversee daily cash flow and accounts receivable collections
  4. Approve bank reconciliations and month-end journal entries
  5. Manage payroll reporting, HST summaries, and vendor payments
  6. Lead and train accounting staff; assign and monitor tasks
  7. Audit sales contests and assist with external audits
  8. Track inventory and suggest process improvements
  9. Handle ad hoc financial analysis and reporting

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA designation (or in progress) is an asset
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced sales or startup environment
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE, Canadian tax & payroll regulations
  • US accounting/tax experience is an asset
  • High proficiency with Excel and financial software
  • Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills
