Job description

- South Bay based company seeks an Accounting Manager

- Salary: $70,000 - $85,000/year

- Location: Torrance, CA 90502 (Hybrid)

- Hiring Status: Direct Hire / Exempt

- Work hours: Mon through Fri, 8:30am to 5:30pm w/1 hour lunch time

- # of supervising staffs: 4-5 people at multiple locations

- Job duties include, but are not limited to:

1. As a project manager for accounting outsourcing services, this position will be in charge of several client accounts (5 to 8 companies, depending on the size), reviewing the work of staff(s) and interacting with clients (meetings, responding to questions, obtaining information, monthly and other financial reports, advising, etc.).
2. Manage/process multiple outsourcing engagements
3. Monthly/Year-end closing support
4. Advise clients for incorporation, setting up accounting books, design of workflow, etc.
5. Train/supervise staff and review their work

- Qualifications:

1. 2-3 years of accounting manager experience including A/P, A/R, monthly book closing and reporting
2. Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, solid oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
3. Excellent technology, research, and analytical skills
4. Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects/tasks with attention to detail
5. Ability to read/write/communicate in both Japanese and English
