Job description

Overview

The Accounting Manager will work alongside the Senior Director of Finance and will be responsible for the settlement process for all events at the TD Coliseum, Concert Hall, and Studio. This role ensures the efficient flow of profit and loss data for events to the general ledger.

This role pays an annual salary of $75,000-$100,000 CAD

This position will remain open until September 19, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and/or prepares event settlements including preparation of profit and loss statements for assigned shows.
  • Assist with show settlement including coordination of payments to promoters, compilation of all post-show financial info to the GL, and preparation of show income/loss reports
  • Prepare and upload journal entries related to individual shows.
  • Reconcile revenues, costs, and accruals to ensure accuracy and completeness of projects.
  • Provide on-site support for night-of-show settlements.
  • Supervises Staff Accountant
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Arena/Hotel/Convention Center or similar accounting experience required. Enrollment in CPA program preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
  • Proficient in Windows environment with strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
