Our client, a rapidly growing Natural Health Products company with their office located in Mississauga, ON , is looking to hire an Accounting Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a Hybrid Role , requiring 3 days in office for collaboration.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, leading the accounting team, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting.
  • Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support for AP and AR functions.
  • Prepare and analyze month-end financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, AR, AP, and inventory sub-ledgers.
  • Manage and maintain inventory item listings and processes for parts and finished goods.
  • Prepare and manage all intercompany accounting in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare and review financial and management reporting on both a legal entity and consolidated basis.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of management and financial reporting as required.
  • Review and assist with preparation of government filings (GST / HST, WSIB, corporate income tax) and other ad hoc reporting.
  • Support the year-end audit process and collaborate with external auditors.
  • Oversee credit applications and respond to supplier information requests.
  • Lead the implementation of new accounting or ERP systems, driving process improvements and best practices.

EDUCATION :

  • Post secondary education or equivalent experience
  • CPG designation an asset
  • EXPERIENCE :

  • Minimum of 4 years’ progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with accounting processes and procedures.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Great Plains and NetSuite experience is an asset).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
