Job summary

A financial services firm in Toronto is seeking an Accounting Manager for a 4 to 6 month contract. You'll manage full cycle accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple countries, supporting payroll, reconciliations, and compliance. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of experience in multi-currency environments are required. CPA designation is preferred.

Qualifications

Accounting Manager - 4 to 6 month Contract

Job Description:

In this Accounting Manager role, you will oversee full cycle accounting operations, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions in NetSuite. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing payroll across multiple countries and platforms
• Leading revenue recognition and partnership invoicing processes
• Conducting detailed balance sheet reviews and managing month/quarter-end close
• Supporting Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable processes across international entities
• Continuously improving accounting systems and processes
• Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and internal policies
• Supervising and mentoring the accounting coordinator

The Accounting Manager will be part of the finance team and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent designation preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments
• Experience with NetSuite
• Proven experience with payroll and financial reporting across different countries
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with public company reporting and SOX compliance (a plus)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (an asset)
