Job summary

HighView Partners is pleased to be working with a well-established, privately held investment group with significant interests in real estate and a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Entrepreneurial in nature, the organization has built a substantial portfolio across multiple industries. As the business evolves, there is an opportunity to modernize its finance function, strengthen reporting and introduce new systems and processes.

The group is seeking an Accounting Manager to play an important role in this transition. Working closely with senior leadership, you will oversee accounting across multiple entities, support and develop the team, and help introduce more efficient ways of working.

Your New Role

You will oversee month-end and year-end closing processes across multiple entities, ensuring financial statements, reconciliations and management reports are completed accurately and on time. You will maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

You will lead and develop accounting team members, helping to establish clear expectations, manage workloads and maintain reporting deadlines. An important part of the role will involve documenting existing processes, sharing knowledge and supporting the team through change.

Working with senior leadership and stakeholders across the business, you will provide financial information, respond to questions and help improve reporting. You will also coordinate year-end audits, oversee tax filings and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

You will help identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better systems, automation and technology, including AI-enabled tools where appropriate. Throughout, you will ensure that financial accuracy, internal controls and data security remain priorities.

What Sets You Apart

You are a designated CPA with at least five years of progressive accounting experience. Ideally, you began your career in public accounting before moving into an operational accounting or controllership role.

You have a strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close processes and internal controls. Experience managing accounting across multiple companies or entities is particularly valuable. A background in real estate would be beneficial but is not essential.

You are organized, hands-on and comfortable managing competing deadlines. You have experience leading or mentoring others and enjoy helping colleagues develop their skills.

You communicate clearly and can build relationships with people at all levels of a business, including those without an accounting background. You take ownership of your work, approach problems practically and are comfortable navigating change.

You are also confident with technology, including advanced Excel and accounting systems. You have a genuine curiosity about automation and emerging tools, including AI, and can identify practical improvements without compromising financial controls or data security.
