Position Overview :

We are seeking a Staff Accountant / Manager to join our team full-time in a dynamic, hands-on role. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with public practice experience and a passion for accounting, client service, and team leadership. This is a growth-oriented position with the opportunity to lead client files and support junior staff.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage multiple client engagements including compilations, reviews, and tax filings (T1, T2, T3, GST / HST, payroll).
• Provide strategic advice to owner-managed businesses and professionals.
• Oversee and review work of junior staff, providing mentorship and technical support.
• Perform reconciliations, financial information preparation, and year-end working papers.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, firm policies, and applicable legislation.
• Identify process improvement opportunities within client workflows and internal operations.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications :

• Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax software (e.g., CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks, Xero, MS365 Suite).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Committed to continuous professional development and high standards of client service.
