Accounting Manager

As our Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing finance & administration. A strong communicator and

skilled accountant, you will help streamline our accounting operations, financial reporting, planning & budgeting, while also

managing the annual audit, ensuring tax compliance, monthly declarations and governance.

The ideal candidate excels in dynamic, fast-paced environments and demonstrates a solid accounting expertise, financial

analysis skills, business acumen, and leadership potential. You are adept at navigating complex challenges, developing and

implementing financial management strategies, and ensuring an organization’s overall financial health.

Your Role and Responsibilities

SIA’s Accounting Manager will have the following responsibilities :

Accounting & Admin Management (50%)

• Take ownership and responsibility for all accounting operations – supervise an accounting technician (who looks after payables, receivables and payroll), manage inter-company transactions and reporting, handle allocations (revenues & costs) and monthly G / L entries (e.g. R&D).
• Take charge of producing accurate, reliable and timely reports – monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Ensure timely government declarations and remittances (DAS, taxes, etc.)

Financial planning & analysis (20%)

• Budgeting, expense management and cash flow management.
• Budget variance reporting, ratios, financial planning & analysis.
• Growth management, forecasting and projections.
• Annual external audit and tax compliance.
• Financial controls, policies and standard operating procedures.
• Manage banking operations and relationships.

Financial management & operations (10 %)

• Business compliance & governance, risk management.
• Continuous improvement of back-office operations.
• Legal and insurance, corporate minute books & resolutions, contracts, leases, and remote offices.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Ideal candidates have the following profile :

• Management accountant with professional certification (CPA or CMA) and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
• Experience in a technology consulting services and / or VAR (value-added reseller) environment.
• Experience dealing with suppliers and clients in Canada, the US and the Caribbean (working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting).
• Highly organized, detail oriented, multi-tasker, critical thinker & problem solver, likes to take ownership, works well under pressure, anticipates.
• Highly proficient with O365, BI & analytical tools (preferably IBM), governance & compliance reporting tools (preferably IBM).
• Exemplary history of sound financial management.
