Accounting Manager

We’re looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Accounting Manager who thrives in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment and is eager to take full ownership of daily accounting operations. This position will begin with a strong focus on data entry and transactional tasks, so we need someone who’s comfortable working in the weeds and ready to grow into broader responsibilities over time. The ideal candidate will bring experience in AR, AP, reconciliations, and general ledger functions, and will be able to communicate effectively with plant staff, some of whom are French-speaking.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger entries, month-end and year-end close
2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
3. Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
4. Assist in internal financial reporting and statement preparation
5. Partner with the CFO on improving financial procedures and processes
6. Support payroll administration (UltiPro experience considered an asset)
7. Communicate with plant employees in conversational French when needed

Requirements:

1. Proven hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting
2. Strong data entry skills and comfort with transaction-heavy work
3. Proficiency in AR, AP, and bank reconciliation tasks
4. Basic conversational French to interact with plant staff
5. Experience with payroll is a plus (especially using UltiPro)
6. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
8. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
9. Familiarity with accounting systems and ERP tools
