Accounting Manager
Dallas, TX – hybrid, 3 days onsite

Compensation: $135-145K + Bonus

One of Vaco’s fast-growing international partners is looking to onboard an Accounting Manager for their local Dallas office to help scale their team. This role will oversee all GL and operational accounting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions/eliminations and some foreign currency transactions. Will supervise two direct reports and will help drive their ongoing system implementation as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity.
• Monitor and manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including sales tax, corporate tax, and payroll tax.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business growth.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
