As they continue to grow, they're looking for a Senior Accountant to fill a brand-new role—perfect for someone eager to make an impact, drive financial insights, and grow alongside a passionate team. In this role, you’ll report directly to the Controller and work closely with a collaborative team of 8. You'll be involved in everything from day-to-day accounting operations to high-level financial analysis, offering a unique blend of tactical and strategic responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage journal entries and month-end/year-end procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including weekly Service Division Manager updates and safety training metrics.
• Assist with updating and tracking annual and quarterly budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee tax filings and government remittances, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Complete monthly account and bank reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy.
• Monitor expenses and overheads, providing insights into cost management and variances.
• Work with the Regional Controller on fleet management and AR.
• Review hourly payroll processed by the Payroll Administrator and manage salary payroll for the region.
• Process EFTs and manage banking files to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with financial or operational requests and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Mentor administrative staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• CPA is a MUST
• Progressive candidate with 5 years of experience
• Construction experience an asset
