Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience across the full cycle.
• Solid understanding of Canadian accounting practices, indirect tax filings, and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online; construction/project costing is a plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Guide franchise partners on financial reporting, project costing, and revenue tracking.
• Conduct royalty audits and validate revenue reporting.
• Manage centralized payments and accounts receivable activities.
• Monitor outstanding balances and support cash flow improvements.
• Perform full-cycle accounting, including reconciliations and month-end/year-end processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Maintain financial records and support tax compliance requirements.
• Prepare and analyze reports with accuracy and attention to detail.

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Accounting Manager in the town of Halton Hills, Ontario. The Accounting Manager oversees auditing, the Bookkeeping Program, and the Centralized Payment Program at Head Office, while supporting key financial operations. The ideal candidate brings proven full-cycle accounting experience.

Total rewards: $80000.00 - $90000.00 annually

Hybrid Work Model

Hybrid work model: 2 remote days and 3 in-office days per week (will be fully remote until the new office opens in Fall 2026).

Schedule

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities, with advanced attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online; familiarity with construction accounting, project‑based operations, or job costing is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.
