Full-time Accounting Clerk to join our team!

Kin’s Farm Market’s success depends on the knowledge, experience, and motivation of the people who work for us. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Clerk analyzes and records transactions, and enters them into the accounting software effectively and efficiently. Tasks include, but are not limited to, posting sales-related transactions and payroll, preparing bank reconciliations, preparing reports, and other duties as assigned.

As an Accounting Clerk, you will:

  • Meet accounting administration objectives by performing activities such as Point-of-Sales Matching and Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Bank Transactions, Bookkeeping, and Reports.
  • Help the Financial Controller check financial status and prepare special reports as requested.
  • Assist other departments in interpreting accounting practices.
  • Support the Financial Controller in the monthly financial close process by preparing related data for reporting.
  • Participate in the development and establishment of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the Financial Controller in the audit process to ensure successful audits and compliance.
  • Proactively provide recommendations for changes as needed and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Understand current and proposed legislation to avoid legal challenges; enforce accounting regulations; recommend new procedures.
  • Work in accordance with Kin’s Farm Market’s Policies, Mission, and Culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (“GP”).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, administration, or a similar role.
  • Diploma in Accounting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle various projects simultaneously.
  • Establish credibility at all organizational levels through communication, knowledge, and professionalism.
