Description

Ledcor is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of key accounting functions, including payroll and equipment entry, purchase order management, accounts receivable for projects, and support during month-end close activities.
Reporting to the Accounting lead, the successful candidate will work closely with project teams and other accounting personnel, applying established procedures to resolve routine issues and contribute to the financial accuracy and efficiency of our operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Process and accurately enter payroll and equipment time entries into JD Edwards, ensuring all procedures, approval workflows, and deadlines are consistently met
  • Coordinate with project teams and employees to verify hours worked, confirm appropriate coding, and ensure compliance with labour laws and project-specific agreements
  • Perform a high volume of purchase order creation and revisions, maintaining completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project and corporate requirements
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies, obtain necessary approvals, and maintain up-to-date documentation
  • Create and submit accurate invoices into JD Edwards and various customer portals, ensuring timely processing and compliance with client requirements
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate with customers to resolve billing issues in an efficient and professional manner
  • Support project teams with a variety of financial and administrative tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial records are accurate and complete

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar data processing or bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel for handling large volumes of data
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP/accounting software is preferred
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when working with large datasets
  • Proven ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and delivering excellent customer service
