Job summary

Skyjack Inc. is seeking an Accounting Associate in Ontario to support the Group Controller with maintaining ledgers, preparing financial statements, and delivering accurate reports.

This entry-level role is ideal for a recent accounting graduate beginning the CPA program and aiming to grow within a global equipment manufacturer. Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR processing, and assisting with budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
  • Candidates should be prepared to enroll in the CPA program.
  • Recent new graduate with prior co-op experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all month end reconciliations and journal entries with backups.
  • Prepare and support financial statements, reconciliations, and reports.
  • Complete product line income statements and variance analyses.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable aging.
  • Enter payables with three-way matching and packing slips.
  • Prepare bi-weekly payments for corporate payables.
  • Review corporate credit statements with receipts.
  • Assist with annual budget, five-year plan and rolling forecast.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Group Controller you plan , organize and administ rate specialized accounting activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and developing financial statements and reports . This position is suitable for a recent graduate from an accounting program who is ready to start the CPA program.

Responsibility
  • Prepare all month end reconciliations journal entries with complete back up in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare and support financial statements, reconciliations, and reports in a timely manner .
  • Complete product line income statements and variance analysis with explanations for all significant items.
  • Prepare, analyze and assist with accurate processing of monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable aging.
  • Process the entry of accounts payable on a weekly basis, with three-way matching purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Prepare bi -weekly payment processing for all corporate payables.
  • Process all corporate manual expense reports.
  • Review and track all corporate credit statements with approval and receipts.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budget, five-year business plan, and a twelve-month rolling forecast as required .
Academic/Educational Requirements
  • A university degree or college diploma in Accounting, Business or a related discipline is required .
  • Candidates should be prepared to enroll in the CPA program.
  • Recent New graduate with prior co-op experience.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Ability to evaluate the accuracy of financial data.
  • Ability to prepare financial summaries such as balance sheets and income statements.
  • Ability to work in a fully computerized environment including advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to work independently and in a team
