We are looking for term Accounting Assistants for our Accounting Operations teams in Financial Services, supporting our Payroll and Accounts Payable functions. Our team provides exceptional customer service and legislative compliance in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment. These positions provide a great opportunity to expand your skills like collaboration, helping people, looking beyond the transaction and to develop your payroll or A / P knowledge.

Once here, you could also expand your knowledge in different areas : accounts receivable, revenue transactions (including property tax, utilities, parking, transit, etc.), legal compliance, journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, project support and various other duties.

Responsibilities
  • Calculates and prepares summaries of various accounts related to departmental operations.
  • Ensures accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Prepares documentation for posting transactions and checks output for accuracy.
  • Applies payments on accounts.
  • Analyzes and reconciles accounts and records.
  • Acts as a prime point of contact for the public and internal staff on financial enquiries, payments and collections.
  • Participates on special project teams.
  • Performs system set-up and testing.
  • Provides peer training.
  • Processes and drafts invoices and work orders.
  • Participates in cross-training, organizes meetings and records minutes, and provides reception services.
  • Compiles and analyzes statistics, processes and drafts correspondence and reports.

Pay Rate
