Miles HR is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join the finance team of a downtown Vancouver Insurance firm. This company takes pride in maintaining accurate records and providing exceptional service to their clients, and we’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and proven data entry experience to support accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets
Assist in accounts payable and receivable tasks
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and statements
Maintain organized records of all transactions
Support the finance team in daily administrative tasks
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Qualifications:
Proven experience in data entry or as an Accounting Assistant (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Familiarity with accounting software SAGE 50is a plus
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
