What will you be doing!

  • Processing Vendor Invoices:
    • Validating and processing supplier invoices to ensure they align with the terms and conditions of the assigned purchase orders and comply with ethical business practices and CNL policies and procedures.
    • Validating purchase orders/contracts terms and how they align with the supplier invoice. Establishing and maintaining business documents that support the accounts payable transactions. Ensuring the integrity of the invoice for the control and audit process in compliance with company policy.
    • Interacting with Cash and Banking to process wire payments, prepayments, and foreign currency payments.
  • Vendor support related to payables:
    • Performing financial analysis, including preparing reports for customers, contract administration, and procurement.
    • Responding to specific queries about accounts and providing insight and documentation as required.
    • Providing analytical troubleshooting support, investigation, and consultation.
    • Working alongside internal and external customers and providing problem and dispute resolution regarding outstanding payments.
    • Resolving obstacles with procurement and contract administration so that timely payments can be made.
    • Analyzing the On-Hold report and supplier account statements, ensuring timely payment of invoices.
    • Providing a single point of contact service to support suppliers and requisitions for timely invoice processing and problem resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Education
    • Completed post-secondary education in a related field, commerce, finance, economics, accounting, or business administration.
  • Experience
    • 4 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or business administration.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to think independently.
    • Oral and written communication skills to relay information during one-on-one sessions, to interpret existing procedures to customers and coworkers.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem resolution and analytical skills.
    • Tact and courtesy when dealing with internal customers.
    • Collaboration and teamwork skills to maintain a healthy work environment.
    • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and establish own priorities to meet deadlines.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to be able to create spreadsheets, write emails, etc.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
    • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
