JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the finance team members with administrative and organizational duties in Accounts Payable (AP) along with working as support with the Procurement team, and Accounts Receivable. This entry level position is an ideal starting point for a motivated new graduate to start their career in Accounting and Finance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process AP invoices, incoming mail, and bank deposits.
• Organize AP & credit card invoices and receipts.
• Support AP statements of reconciliation processes.
• Organize and process Packing slips/receiving for Procurement team support.
• Process AR invoices and generate customers’ statements.
• Administrative support and data entry for the Finance team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post secondary education in accounting is required.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication and administrative skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accounting fundamentals.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion with sensitive information.
• Motivation for learning and skill development.
• Hard working, dedicated and working well under pressure.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and associated programs (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
