Position Summary:

Working with the Director of Finance, you will be in charge of our AR, AP, & Payroll. This is a wide-ranging position requiring someone who is highly detail-oriented, meticulously organized, and understands numbers and financial models.

A fundamental part of this role will be to maintain our company’s financial records using QBO and support our supply chain team with financial oversight.

You'll be working alongside a dynamic team of talented and collaborative thinkers who thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain company financial records using QuickBooks Online and Google spreadsheets
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Payroll processing
  • Communicate with suppliers
  • Assist the supply chain team with forecasting payments
  • Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Liaise with 3rd party Accountants, perform Year-end and assist with Review engagement

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • 2+ years of experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
  • Post-secondary education in an accounting or business program
  • Possess an accounting degree or working towards a CPA
  • Excellent Excel and spreadsheet skills.
  • Self-starter that takes initiative, makes decisions, and provides clear direction to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and adapt to changing business needs.
  • A hunger and motivation to drive meaningful growth.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset and eagerness to identify and tackle new business challenges with urgency.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $50,000 annually
  • Term: Full time
  • Hybrid work model (local + remote)
