Job Description

The Challenge

We are looking for an Accounting and Office Administratorwho will helpmanage day-to-day office tasks.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented multi-tasker with excellent organizational and communication skills.If you are prepared to roll up your sleeves to achieve the Accounting and Office Administratorobjectives, this position is for you!

Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Handle payroll, including maintaining accurate records and liaising with payroll provider
  • Assist with bookkeeping and recording of financial transactions of the company
  • Proactively invoice and follow-upwith clients
  • Manage accounts payable and follow-up on accounts receivable
  • Provide professional HR support to help with definition and communication of office policies
  • Implement relevant accounting and admin process improvements
  • Assist with the taxand funding research work
  • Undertakeother duties assigned from time to time by the firm

Office coordination

  • Manage general office operations, including purchasing of office supplies, handling incoming shipments, and coordinating IT and maintenance requests.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new employees
  • Manage office equipment and supplies
  • Plan team lunches andstock the kitchen
  • Plan and coordinate activities and events - team building activities, company dinners and other networking events.
  • Plan and coordinate travel
  • Support executive team with company activities

Qualifications

  • Working towards aBachelor’sdegree inBusinessAdministrationorrelated fields
  • Excellent communicator–Frenchand English(oral and written)
  • Strongknowledge of MS officeand preferably knowledge ofTaxPrepand other corporate tax software
  • Fast learner, tech lover, and energetic individual that is detail-oriented and has a great sense of humour
