Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a CPA-level financial professional to support the financial management of a major government contract. You will handle invoicing, receivables, reporting, GST submissions, and subcontractor payments in a fast-paced, hybrid Canada-based role.

If you bring 3+ years of experience, strong Excel skills, ERP familiarity (JD Edwards), and solid budgeting/forecasting abilities, you will thrive in a collaborative environment with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of MS-Office, particularly Excel.
• Comfortable with ERP systems; JD Edwards experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Overview

As part of the Finance team, you will support the financial management of a major long-term government contract while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through financial reporting, accounting accuracy, and operational support.

This is a contractual position.

Your role

• Processes and prepares client and supplier invoices; troubleshoots and resolves issues.
• Tracks overdue receivables and ensures timely receipt of all amounts owing.
• Reviews all cheque processing and fund transfers.
• Creates and prepares monthly finance and accounting reports.
• Processes and prepares GST/HST/PST submissions.
• Prepares and submits subcontractors' payment reports.
• Prepares monthly account reconciliations and resolve any outstanding items.
• Supports our Operations personnel and respond to any ad-hoc requests from them.

About you

• A CPA or CPA candidate with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• A strong knowledge of MS-Office, particularly Excel.
• Comfortable with ERP systems and knowledge of J.D. Edwards, in particular, is an asset.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $68,000 - $80,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
