THE POSITION

The person in this position collaborates on all aspects of real estate project accounting, including financial management of leases, revenue and expense management and the budgeting process, monthly and annual reporting, and ensures that the accounts reflect the real situation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares budget variance analyses;
  • Produces financial information for inclusion in monthly and quarterly reports;
  • Updates property cash flow;
  • Participates in the implementation of new information management tools such as Yardi’s Construction module, Data Connect, and any other tools to be adopted;
  • Produces the documentation required for the follow-up of development projects in financing with the cost consultant (if applicable);
  • Collaborates with the property management accounting team when required;
  • Designs financial analysis reports and performs various variance analyses (ad hoc requests).

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Accounting designation or CFA would be an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a real estate company
  • Knowledge of YARDI software an asset
  • Strong analytical skills
