The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting Uni-Select's financial operations, providing accurate financial analysis and reporting. This position requires an analytical and detail-oriented individual with a solid understanding of corporate accounting principles and data analysis. The successful candidate will report to the Finance and Accounting Manager, work closely with the finance team, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Your Daily Contribution & Impact:

  • Participate in the financial and accounting analysis of acquisitions;
  • Monitor acquisition adjustments and prepare post-acquisition analyses;
  • Prepare financial reports including balance sheets and income statements;
  • Ensure the proper accounting and analyze the performance of company-owned stores;
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams;
  • Ensure acquisition transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP standards;
  • Participate in internal control testing, including SOX compliance, and identify potential improvements to financial processes;
  • Support external and internal audit processes by preparing analyses and documentation.

Expertise & Essential Skills:

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
  • CPA certification (obtained or in progress) is strongly preferred;
  • 4-5 years of experience in acquisition accounting or related roles;
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Attention to detail and high precision;
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team;
  • Bilingual (English and French) preferred.
