Our SE client is looking to bring on an Accounting/Health & Safety Administrator who will primarily focus on Accounts Payable and document/data management for their health and safety department, acting as a key member for their Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC).

This role requires a positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills in order to work with various departments within this tight knit team. The ideal candidate will possess unwavering attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and multitask, as well as an eagerness to step in where needed to ensure an optimized work flow at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Accounting duties such as accounts payable, reporting, remittances, etc.
  • Providing support to accounts receivable/payroll administrator, and working with the third party provider for year end filings
  • Document/data management for the health and safety department including document control, tracking, WCB, inspections, etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Education:

  • Working toward or possessing post-secondary education in administration or bookkeeping is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • A satisfactory criminal record check is required
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Sage

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Prior health and safety experience an asset
  • Industrial service industry experience is preferred

Base Salary:$30.00-35.00 per hour

Work Hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
  • 8AM – 4PM (Flex)

Remote Work:

  • This position is not remote and required to be on-site.

Additional Notes:

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
