Overview

This company, known for its innovation in construction, is looking for a Tax Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain tax plans, compliance procedures, and risk assessment frameworks to ensure effective tax management.
  • Manage and oversee the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other taxes.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to implement tax strategies and policies accurately.
  • Identify, track, and report potential financial risks or issues; work with accounting teams to implement solutions.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors for quarterly and year-end tax calculations and disclosures, including deferred tax reporting.
  • Assist the VP Finance and Administration on special projects, including tax implications of potential acquisitions.
  • Manage all tax audits and inquiries from government agencies.
  • Coordinate with merged or acquired companies for accurate and timely tax reporting.
  • Occasional travel outside Quebec.
Your Skills
  • Self-starter with 4-6 years of consulting experience in corporate tax, including 2-4 years as a manager or senior manager.
  • University degree in accounting, active CPA license, and at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry consulting with a focus on income tax compliance.
  • Experience in planning, research, and M&A activities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
