Job summary

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. in Longueuil seeks a finance professional to manage the full accounting cycle for hydro, wind and solar projects and corporate entities.

You will report to the Manager - Accounting, work in a shared services setting, and contribute to timely and accurate financial reporting. Fluent in French and English, you will record journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and prepare monthly analyses while supporting audits and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with the full accounting cycle.
• Fluency in French and English (oral/written) required.
• Proficiency with general software (Great Plains, Acrobat).
• Experience with multiple currencies is an asset.
• Experience in a public company is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform the complete accounting cycle for projects and low-complexity entities.
• Record journal entries and reconcile ledgers, handle bank reconciliations and tax remittances.
• Record inter-company transactions.
• Account for fixed assets and depreciation.
• Prepare monthly analyses.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Assist in annual audit file preparation.
• Ensure internal controls compliance.
• Contribute to process improvements.
• Analyze financial statement items and support corrections.
• Support special mandates as required.

Your contribution!

You will report to the Manager - Accounting and your mandate will be to complete the full accounting cycle for several hydroelectric, wind and solar construction projects, and for corporate entities.

Your day-to-day!

• Perform the complete accounting cycle of projects and/or low-complexity corporate entities in a shared services environment;
• Record journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, perform bank reconciliations, sales tax remittances, revenue billing, track prepaid and accrued fees payable, etc.;
• Accounting for inter-company transactions;
• Accounting for fixed assets and associated depreciation;
• Prepare various monthly analyses;
• Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial statements;
• Participate in the preparation of annual audit files;
• Ensure compliance with internal controls;
• Participate in the continuous improvement, effectiveness and efficiency of processes;
• Participate in the analysis of the various items in the financial statements and support the necessary corrections;
• Participate in various special mandates as required.

Your skills, our requirements!

• Hold a university degree in accounting or college education combined with relevant experience;
• Experience of the full accounting cycle;
• Fluency in French and English (oral/written) required to ensure collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec on a recurring basis;
• Excellent skills with software in general (e.g. Great Plains, Acrobat);
• Experience in managing multiple currencies, an asset;
• Experience in a public company, an asset.
