Job description

This role is considered Hybrid, which means the employee will work 2-3 days onsite at a Company designated location and occasionally from home.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Accountant to join the Vancouver finance team. The role involves accounting and tax responsibilities, providing financial support and analysis to local teams and the accounting function.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle general accounting duties including account analysis, reconciliation, journal entries, and monthly accruals.
  • Perform month-end multi-currency calculations such as revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and accruals.
  • Process accounts payable, wire payments, and review, code, and approve invoices and expense reports.
  • Make bank deposits as needed.
  • Prepare billings for re-billable costs.
  • Reconcile credit card statements and manage virtual cards.
  • Complete financial reports, special projects, or analyses as assigned.
  • Prepare GST/HST and PST filings monthly or quarterly.
  • Manage tax audit documentation.
  • Calculate and declare production service tax credits.
Skills and Experience:
  • Proficient in Excel; intermediate to advanced skills preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, or MS Dynamics required.
  • Entertainment industry finance/accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong organization, communication, and time management skills. Solution-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Flexible, able to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience in a computerized environment.

The salary range in Vancouver is C$63,400 to C$81,100 annually, based on a 40-hour week. Compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, and location. Benefits may include medical, financial, and other variable pay.
