Job summary

A prominent professional services firm in Canada is seeking an individual to perform full cycle accounting services utilizing cloud applications such as QuickBooks and Xero. The role requires an associate degree in business/accounting, strong communication skills, and a passion for technology. Additional benefits include profit sharing, flex days, and wellness benefits. This position is primarily on-site, requiring team collaboration four days a week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Perform full cycle accounting services utilizing cloud applications such as QBO or Xero
  • Assist with completion of payroll functions
  • Prepare basic T4 returns
  • Prepare month end close procedures including reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards and ensuring transactions are properly journalized
  • Assist with government filings such as sales tax returns and payroll filings
  • Prepare monthly and / or quarterly financial reports and management reports
  • Collaborate with clients on a regular basis and assist them with day to day accounting inquiries
  • Communicate issues to manager and collaborate on resolutions
