As an Accountant, Cloud Accounting Services [Bookkeeper], your responsibilities will include:

1. Performing full cycle accounting services using cloud applications such as QBO or Xero
2. Assisting with payroll functions
3. Preparing basic T4 returns
4. Managing month-end close procedures, including bank and credit card reconciliations and proper journalizing of transactions
5. Supporting government filings like sales tax returns and payroll submissions
6. Preparing monthly or quarterly financial and management reports
7. Collaborating with clients regularly to address their accounting inquiries
8. Communicating issues to managers and working on resolutions

Qualifications

• Passion for technology and innovative thinking
• QuickBooks ProAdvisor and/or Xero certification preferred
• Knowledge of macros and VB scripts in Excel is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Associate degree in business or accounting, or equivalent
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and processes
