Job summary

Doane Grant Thornton in Vancouver, BC is seeking an Accountant, Assurance to join a growing national firm that values collaboration and client service. You’ll plan, prepare and execute financial statement audits and reviews, while solving current business challenges for clients across industries.

You’ll oversee fieldwork, manage budgets and resources, mentor junior staff, and help build the firm’s reputation as trusted business advisors in a dynamic, inclusive culture that rewards initiative and

Qualifications

• CPA designation or near completion required for eligibility.
• Minimum 1+ year of public practice audit experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in assurance and accounting.
• Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
• Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
• Proven problem solver with solid analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in leading teams of professionals on diverse engagements.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office and ability to grasp new technology tools.

Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $51,750‑$71,150 in Vancouver, BC. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
