The Position

This is a temporary position to cover a maternity leave, with an approximate duration of 7 months beginning in August 2025.

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to play a key role on our Finance team and help ensure things continue to run smoothly and efficiently. This is a great opportunity to build on your existing experience and take your accounting career to the next level. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects and be involved in full cycle accounting.

Flexibility and a meticulous eye for detail are both must-haves in this role. We are looking for a stellar team player who can help drive initiatives forward.

Responsibilities

1. Monthly client billing
2. Reviewing and collecting outstanding receivables
3. Setup travel expense account for new employees and assist other employees with travel expenses submission
4. Accurately entering and coding invoices, employee expense reports and corporate credit cards and ensuring timely payment of all payables
5. Coordinate timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices
6. Assisting in month end cycles
7. Weekly bank reconciliation
8. Weekly and monthly cash forecasts
9. Various sales tax compliance reporting and remittances
10. Payroll support
11. Prepare audit materials as requested for external auditors

Requirements

1. Excellent judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills
2. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
3. Ability to balance multiple priorities, in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
4. Possess an understanding and experience in full cycle accounting
5. Advanced proficiency with Excel; experience with payroll and payroll processors (primarily ADP) is an asset
6. Comfortable using various computer and web-based applications in a work/office environment
7. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/CRM is an asset
8. 2+ years accounting experience in a similar environment is ideal
9. Completion or near completion of an accounting designation preferred
