Position: Accountant – 16 month contract

Salary: $65,000 -$70,000 plus completion bonus, full benefits, 3+ weeks vacation and a great environment!!

This is an Excellent opportunity to be a part of a growing commercial real estate organization. This is a professional environment where a fun work culture and office dynamic are present. This role will have the successful candidate working with bright like-minded individuals!

The Accountant will report into the Director of Operations and Fractional CFO. You will work in a small collaborative team where you will have the opportunity to work cross functionally. Main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Create invoices on a timely basis
  • Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of revenue recognition between salesforce report and internal accounting system
  • Review and reconciled deposits processed by other team members into the correct accounts
  • Process commission deposits and real estate trust deposits
  • Manage incoming and outgoing wire transfers from Trust and commission accounts
  • Administer and reconcile real estate trust account and provide report to manager
  • Monthly reconciliation package
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivables
  • Understand the FINTRAC process and compliance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education and 2+ years related real estate or development industry experience. Pursuing CPA is a plus, but not required
  • Advanced excel skills and prior experience using Quickbooks Desktop is required
  • You will be detail oriented and highly organized, and you must be a team player!
  • You MUST have an exceptional command of the English language – reading, writing and speaking. This position will have you in regular communication with other team members, management, other internal and external staff including agents, brokers, lawyers and other bookkeeping firms.
