About the Company
Our law firm client, renowned for its strong teamwork, mutual respect, and commitment to continuous professional development, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team in downtown Vancouver. This position has become available due to retirement and offers a flexible hybrid work schedule.

About the Role
Reporting to the partners, you will manage the daily operations of the accounting team, including AP, AR, billing, payroll, trust accounts, and reconciliations, while mentoring the team, ensuring compliance with Law Society rules, administering payroll and compensation, preparing financial reports and forecasts, coordinating year-end financial statements, managing budgeting processes, analyzing performance metrics, reviewing accounting processes, and maintaining the general ledger system and internal financial controls.

What You Bring
To qualify, candidates should have a degree in Accounting, at least 3 years of law firm industry experience, a strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Excel is required, and experience with ProLaw or similar software is a plus. Confidentiality and professionalism are essential.
